The new Melbourne Convention Centre (MCC), located adjacent to the Exhibition Centre, was completed in 2009. At a cost of AU$1 Billion, the development consists of a 5000 seat facility, as well as a Hilton Hotel, office, residential and retail space. The centre has been awarded a Six Green Star environmental rating and is the first convention centre in the world with that rating. Over a period of about 18 months, Steelforce created extensive details encompassing a major portion of the façade works, bus shelters, external canopies, entrances, links, pump house enclosure etc. All of which were delivered with nil drafting errors.
