The Tarago Water Treatment plant is a new facility to be commissioned by Melbourne Water in mid-2009 to provide around 15 Billion litres per annum of clean water to the Mornington Peninsula and Westernport regions from the Tarago Reservoir, which was cut-off in 1994 due to falling water quality.
